I need to be me and you need to be you
I spent this morning in discovery with friend and master marketer Sarah Gray. We talked about goals, drive, passion — all the while sipping coffee at The Chocolate Mill in downtown Glens Falls, New York. Can’t think of a better way to start the day.
We discussed age old questions, like “who am I?”, “what do I represent?”, “how do I define myself?” Deep stuff for the start of a weekend, yet I end the day feeling inspired, ignited and invigorated.
More than anything, I believe I need to be me and you need to be you. Our paths will be different but in their uniqueness, they are paved with happiness and fulfillment.
God designed you to be you… uniquely you. He didn’t make any backups or understudies. So, if you’re not being you, no one is. What a loss for this world. You see, you’re not just denying yourself from knowing you, you’re denying everyone around you. Not to mention all the distinct, exceptional things that will remain undone because you’re the only one equipped and gifted to do them.
It’s kinda deep, I know. Take a moment to digest.
Human nature is to wait to be told what to do before taking action. Perhaps you find yourself in that situation right now. If so, please allow me to tell you what to do: Find you. Embrace you. Love you. Be you! …like only you can. We need you.
It’s time to get ignited, my friends. The journey begins now. You in?
Love this message!
Thank you, dear Janet. I believed it might speak to your heart as it did mine.
Love,
Donna
