Shock your fears
Have you ever held a fear so strong, you couldn’t help but overcome it? To shock it out of existence? Most entrepreneurs’ story to success includes a fear they had to kick squarely in the jaw.
Find something you love and do THAT!
This weekend, in front of 50,000 participants attending our optimal health coach conference online, I was honored to be recognized as a leader.
I cannot begin to tell you how humbling it was to see my mug on that giant screen. I caught myself smiling; thankful I’d taken a chance on myself eight years ago.
You see, when I had just launched my health coaching business in 2012, I was in love with what I was doing helping others completely transform their lives. It was incredible.
But, the truth of my reality at that time was, my whole life was turned upside down.
I wasn’t sure how I was going to survive.
I cried. A lot.
There’s always a deeper story, right? The storm that precedes the rainbow.
Listen, if you’re an entrepreneur or you want to be one, the world is going to whisper doubt in your ear,
“You WON’T.”
“You CAN’T.”
“You’re not good enough.”
“You’ll never last.”
And, you.
You, my friend are going to turn around and say, “…oooohh just, WATCH ME!!”
Or, at least I hope you are.
Some of you have heard me share that eight years ago, I’d been fired from the security of my day job with great benefits. I was in an unhealthy, 22-year relationship that needed to end. And, I was terrified.
I was scared about making it on my own.
I was worried about being solely responsible for my finances.
I was worried about being relevant.
Would I be significant?
I was so scared I wasn’t going to be okay. That was the truth of where I was. Once I understood that, then and only then was I able to link arms with people who care about me and design a plan for where I desired to be.
That plan has bloomed in more ways than I’d ever imagined.
Not only am I making it on my own, I’m empowering other women, too.
My finances are stronger than ever.
I’ve been blessed to help impact thousands of lives all around the country.
It was a hard road to choose to take. I won’t lie. But, then again, it’s pressure that makes diamonds.
We are all flawed creatures, friends. We are also beautifully and wondrously crafted by a God who loves us.
It’s time to embrace perfectly imperfect YOU and the purpose of why you are here. Don’t waste another minute. Seek out that smile in your being. Breathe life into that cuz that’s YOU and I can’t wait for you to meet her.
If you’d like my help, it’s as simple as reaching out.
Love, Coach Donna ❣️
